Switzerland’s prosperity is partly due to the immigration of foreign workers.

Not only do they boost the economy, they also enrich the culture. Thanks to the free movement of persons between Switzerland and the EU, EU/EFTA citizens can now remain in Switzerland without a lot of red tape. In the labour market they have the same rights as Swiss workers. For people from other countries who wish to work and live in Switzerland, certain provisions apply.
